OUR
PRINCIPLES
1.
The European Observatory of Public Opinion is founded
and based upon the following:
a) Human dignity is identified with the attribution to
the human being of the value that he/she deserves, as an
intellectual and moral personality and as the subject of
History and Law.
b) The human dignity constitutes a concept and a measure
requiring absolute respect. Consequently, the respect of
human dignity requires the non-utilization/non-exploitation
of the human being as an object serving any expediency.
c) The right in the freedom of expression does not constitute
simply one of the foundation stones of Democracy, but also
a necessary prerequisite for the recognition and exercise
of a great number of other rights and freedoms, which are
set forth (established) by the European Treaty of Human
Rights and consequently is protected absolutely.
2. The
operation of the European Observatory
of Public Opinion is inspired with
the fact that:
the right in the freedom of expression, represents the
historical development of the rights pursued by the human
being, that is the freedom of thought, conscience and religion.
